3 Study Methods to Try

Updated: Mar 5

Blurting Method

This is for more of a memorization based class.

  1. First you grab your notebook or textbook and read it all. (If you have multiple units then do this method unit by unit.)

  2. Get a pen and a blank piece of paper and write down everything you remember from the unit.

3.Once you finished look for things you missed and repeat the process until you feel solid on the topic!

Locking In

This method is more focused towards our friends who may struggle to "lock in" when they are supposed to.

  1. You go to a nice spot that make you feel motivated to study, for example maybe a cafe, and maybe with someone who makes you feel motivated to study, or not, either options totally fine.

  2. You set a timer for 20 minutes, and work non-stop for 20 minutes straight.

  3. After working for 20 minutes you take a break for 10-20 minutes, depending on how much of a break you feel you need.

  4. After each round you can also shorten your breaks or lengthen your work time as you gain momentum until you feel confident in the subject!

Chat GPT- but the right way

  1. Go through practice problems or ideas that confuse you and type them into chat GPT, asking it to explain those problems or ideas in depth.

  2. If you're still confused, you can ask it to reword it in simpler terms, or ask follow up questions.
